Product Description
Park Smart came up with a simple yet ingenious idea. Keep from accidentally banging up your garage wall and your car door with this protective barrier. It stands protectively between the car door and the garage wall. Children can be careless when jumping out of the car. Especially if things are tight in your garage, this bumper keeps your car door and the garage wall on good terms. The indestructible yellow or clear Park Smart Wall Guard comes complete with all the essential hardware to install it on drywall, studs, brick or concrete. Holes are at 16 and 24 intervals for fastening to studs. It comes with a lifetime warrantee. So, if you (or your children) have the habit of flinging your door open with too much force, the wall guard absorbs the shock and prevents damage to your car door. No more chips in the paint, no more dents in the door! And no worries!

5 out of 5 stars Just what I was looking for   September 22, 2009

With two mounted on my interior garage wall I feel much more at ease when opening my car door.

4 out of 5 stars Expensive but effective   June 7, 2008

Yes, these pieces of plastic are overpriced, but they function well. They are tall enough so that if your car is loaded or not, it will still function. They are also long enough so that you can park your car in different positions. For my car I needed to use a different height for the front and rear doors since each door was shaped differently. Also the plastic needs to be hard so that the door will not deflect the material. This may not be a problem if you have a drywall garage, but for those of us with concrete walls a rubber gasket is not enough protection.

Look online and you'll find a set of 4 for $30 plus shipping.

It comes with screws and anchors for drywall (and supposedly concrete). I found it much easier to use the blue concrete screws from my local hardware store. When installing the strips, you will want to park you car in different positions to test where the doors will contact the walls. Also remember to load your car to test the height.

For concrete walls, I highly recommend this solution. Even $50 is much cheaper than a new paint job.

4 out of 5 stars Good protection for vehicle door and wall   October 12, 2008

Good protection for the garage wall and the car's doors too. Better than those ugly bumpers that attach to the car door

3 out of 5 stars Too expensive, too short.   May 3, 2010

I agree with the other reviewers that the length is lacking on these. I ended up buying six of these to cover my base (and walls) in my garage. You do the math. I have a 38 foot long garage so I don't always end up parking in the exact same spot everytime. I also pull my truck more forward if I'm working on it. So I had to get six of them to cover both sides of the garage.

I also think there should be holes on the bottom of the bumpers to make them more secure.

These should be about half the price that they are. If they were, I'd probably get more. Other than that they work well and have reduced the damage to my doors and walls significantly.

1 out of 5 stars A real disappointment...   November 16, 2004

These things are 2 feet long.

You'll need FOUR of them just to cover a typical car in a typical garage, and that means it'll set you back $50+ for a set. You can get garage door weatherstripping which will do much the same job for $15. And it's softer than these things, which feel rigid enough to bend the corners of your doors if you hit them hard enough.

I'm returning these things, pronto.
