| Customer Reviews: Cheap and easy fix! July 4, 2010 J. Behnke (Chicago, IL United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Glad I took a chance and tried this repair myself. Local shop wanted to charge $120 for the part and another $100 to install. I was able to do this install in 10 minutes!
Now I did already have the door panel off (if you've not removed a door panel before then add about 30 minutes) but everything was VERY easy... just loosen the two screws that hold the window in, gentle remove the glass, swap the parts (6 screws) and then put the window back in and tighten the two screws.
Done!
It works good as new!
Do a search on google with the keywords honda crv window regulator replacement and you'll get a more detailed description. If you are handy then this is an easy repair.
Why Pay More? May 30, 2010 Shawn P. Connelly (Detroit, MI) Based on the price I wasn't sure what to expect, but in the end I am very pleased with the purchase of this part! I ordered from National Auto Parts and paid 1/3 of the price as anywhere else online. Heck, I'm not even that mechanically inclined, yet I found info online, took the door apart, removed the window and old part and repaired it by myself. The part at a local parts place runs $150, plus, my mechanic said he would charge me $50 to install it (which is cheap). I paid $55 and the part was shipped to my door in less than a week. So sure it may have taken me a little over 2 hours, but in the long run, I saved at least $150.
99 Honda CRV - window regulator July 6, 2010 M. Alexander (ROSELLE, NJ) this part was a replacement for a factory replacement I purchased two years ago. Works as good as the factory part, fit perfectly and a 1/4 of the cost of the factory part and that was only the motor. Definately worth the money.
good aftermarket replacement August 19, 2009 K. Bae 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
the regulator came in a opened poly bag, and it was not the prettiest packaging.
there were some scratches on the motor, but all other parts looked ok.
I took a star off because of the scratches on the motor.
Installed it two weeks ago, and no problem so far. It's now the fastest window in the car... used to be the slowest.
better late than never December 12, 2009 Robert Mazzola (Edgewater pk., NJ) It took almost two weeks for the regulator to arrive, and when it did it was damaged. The packaging was insuficient to protect the product from shipping damage. The vendor took over a week to respond to my emails and phone calls, and it wasn't until I threatened them to report them to Amazon that they finally got back to me. A week later I recieved a replacement unit that was undamaged. I installed it three weeks ago, and it works perfectly. The price is outstanding for a replacement regulator so I recommend this product with one caveat: If you need it fast, look elsewhere.
