| Customer Reviews: Great functionality; if it fails Maxsa stands behind it July 4, 2010 Longhorn (Fort Worth, TX United States) Below is my original review. I came back and added this comment and upped the score when the manufacturer did the right thing and replaced my unit and were genuinely concerned with the fault I experienced. Good show. Technology fails sometimes, we all know that. I don't believe they read this review before deciding to help me but it's possible...

Of course just two months out of warranty is when my unit decided to fail. One beam is clear, the other diffuse and dim. Plus the motion sensor doesn't keep the lasers on long enough. If you're easing into a tight garage the laser will often shut off right when you (I) get near the end of your parking sequence. Since mine is plugged into an AC outlet, why is it programmed to do this? It's not like a need a "battery saver" mode. Stupid.
However when it works I like it so much better than tennis balls, that I'm going to try again and order a second one. If this doesn't work I'm throwing it out and going another direction...
not as good as it looks February 25, 2010 Harlan McDean 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The laser works great but you can't move the beam as wide as you need to get both cars..You need a high ceiling
Fooled me twice.... April 27, 2010 Dennis R. Cunningham (Gold Canyon, AZ) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I first bought this (Maxsa) version of this device (virtually identical to the Sierra version, clearly the same manufacturer). All was well at first, both lights nice and bright. But after only two weeks, one of the laser lights went dim. It still comes on, but not nearly bright enough to be of use. Since we liked the system during the short time it worked, we decided to roll the dice again, hoping for a better outcome, so I ordered the Sierra version. Guess what, the EXACT same thing happened (one light on, but too dim to be of use), but this time time it happened DURING THE INITIAL AIMING PROCESS! So, I now have two of these things installed in my garage, each of them with only half of it working.
Don't waste your money.
